Fresh from an interview with the L.A. Times, Arnold Schwarzenegger has confirmed at last that endless rumors over a possible cameo role for him in the upcoming Terminator Salvation movie starring Christian Bale are indeed true: “I made it very clear that I don’t have the time to do the movie,” Arnold said. “I said that I would be willing to be in the movie if they get the technology together, and so they are working on that right now.”
Arnold also went on to express what could be taken as strong interest in an expanded role for any future Terminator film: “I think it’s cool to continue on with the franchise,” he said. “In case I want to jump over again and get into the acting after I’m through here.” Translation: He would definitely be down with working on another movie. After all, what else is he going to do with all that free time? We have a feeling he won’t be parked under the hood of a tank or Hummer any time soon. It will be interesting to see what happens with this cameo, and it’s certain that the franchise certainly wouldn’t be the same without at least a little Arnie along the way.
