Yahoo has the latest and greatest trailer for “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” - which was premiered exclusively online by Paramount Pictures. This sequel to the 2007 blockbuster, directed by Michael Bay and produced by Steven Spielberg, sees Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox return to action when Sam (LaBeouf) discovers something about the origins of the Transformers and their history on Earth, triggering the return of Megatron and more evil Decepticons to try and capture him, leading to a Transformer-smackdown like no other somewhere in Egypt. The trailer will fill in most of the blanks, and to be honest, the promise of an intricate plot is not the most attractive element of this franchise - after all as Sam reminds us: ““Megatron wants what’s in my head.” Well said.
If you can, try and watch the trailer in HD. The visuals are absolutely stunning, and this should be as much of a treat to view in your local cinema as the first outing was. ILM (Industrial Light & Magic) are the geniuses behind the incredible CGI, proving yet again that they can continue to push the boundary of special effects year in and year out.
The film will be released in the U.S. and United kingdom on June 24th, 2009.
