Josh Brolin will play the title character in “Jonah Hex” with a supporting cast that includes Megan Fox, John Malkovich, Will Arnett and Michael Fassbender. We have a first look at him as the haggard western bounty hunter after the break…

After a couple of false starts, “Jonah Hex” will finally be hitting screens in 2010, and filming is currently under way. Josh Brolin (”No Country For Old Men”, “Milk”) plays the title role, and you can get a good look at the very cool make up (which could be CGI enhanced later on) in the gallery of new pics below (thanks to LaineyGossip).
“Jonah Hex” also stars Megan Fox, John Malkovich, Will Arnett and Michael Fassbender. The film is directed by Jimmy Hayward (”Horton Hears a Who”), which is his live-action debut.
The character of Jonah Hex is based on the comic book western anti-hero. For a detailed breakdown of the character’s origins, head on over to Wikipedia.
Synopsis: In the Wild West, a scarred bounty hunter tracks a voodoo practitioner bent on liberating the South by raising an army of the undead.
“Jonah Hex” is scheduled to hit screens in North America on August 6th, 2010.
