Shia LaBeouf let slip in an interview with The BBC yesterday that a new Indiana Jones movie is on the way, and he also discusses the reaction to ‘Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen’ as well as his casting in Oliver Stone’s ‘Wall Street’ sequel.

Caught up in the midst of a tidal wave of publicity for “Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen”, Shia LaBeouf let slip to the BBC that a fifth Indiana Jones movie will be made, which will be a sequel to the last film “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”.
“Steven (Spielberg) just said that he cracked the story on it, and I think they’re gearing it up”, he told the BBC.
Crystal Skull wasn’t very popular with long time Indy fans, nor critics, but it still hauled a truly staggering $800 million worldwide which makes a sequel incredibly attractive business for all involved. Except maybe, the fans. Either way, it’s likely Spielberg and co. will have another chance to bring back Indy to the gold standard most fans expect.
Shia also made a pretty funny quip about some of the reaction to “Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen” - “we’re making movies about toys - it’s not The Elephant Man!” - Good point.
He also spoke regarding his casting in Oliver Stone’s “Wall Street” sequel “Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps” saying “Oliver is a different filmmaker than I’ve experienced,” but he then describes Steven Spielberg, Oliver Stone and Michael Bay as his idols: “It’s fun to work with your superheroes. These guys are Batman and Robin to me”.
“Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps” is currently scheduled for a Spring 2010 release.
