Check out some very cool details and first impressions of the multi-player element in the upcoming Avatar video game!

A lot of people are very excited about James Cameron’s forthcoming Avatar movie, starring Sam Worthington. Including us.
Some of us are also just as excited about the video game adaption, due very shortly. Expectations are high for the movie, but the game remains still somewhat of a mystery. Espcially the multi-player element.
Luckily, IGN can shed some light on things with a brand new hands on and breakdown of the game’s multi-player mode.
“The big question, of course, is how it handles. The online interface is smooth and I didn’t notice any lag while playing. The controls work well enough and the face-off between two vastly different factions does make for an interesting setup. Still, I don’t see this stealing many players away from some of the other recently released multiplayer-focused games out there. It may have something to do with the slightly awkward way the players look in close combat, or it might be due to the fact that many of the weapons felt too similar. Whatever it was, something just didn’t click with Avatar’s multiplayer game for me. Still, it’s solid enough that it should maintain a decent community come release this December.”
Make sure to head on over to IGN for the full breakdown.
