Empire Magazine reports that mega hit Twilight Saga: New Moon starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart rolled into a second week of Box Office dominance, hauling in an estimated $42.5m over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
The total equals to a 70% drop from it’s opening, but that number isn’t very worrying when you consider the film has taken in $230m in ten days in the United States, and a staggering $473m around the globe. Of course these numbers don’t include the gigantic merchandising sales or the guaranteed resurgence of book sales to accompany the release.
Family and Football themed movie The Blind Side, about real life player Michael Oher and starring Sandra Bullock, performed extremely well over the Thanksgiving period by taking in an estimated $40m, which was an increase of roughly 17% from it’s opening last week.
