Marc Webb will direct a rebooted Spiderman franchise. Check out what we know so far!

It’s official. THR reports that 500 Days Of Summer director Marc Webb will take over the Marvel Spiderman franchise from Sam Raimi.
The franchise will be rebooted with it’s new director and a yet to be named star who will replace Toby Maguire.
According to the the THR article the new movie will be scaled down to the $80 million range (sigh) and “The touchstone for the new movie will not be the 1960s comics, which were the inspiration behind the movies by Raimi, who grew on up on them, but rather this past decade’s “Ultimate Spider-Man” comics by Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley where the villain-fighting took a back seat to the high school angst.”
Marc Webb is best known for his surprise indie hi 500 Days of Summer which starred Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel.
