The multi-talented Actor, Writer and Producer Terry Wilkerson has announced he will make his Directorial debut for the movie CHUCHE starring Marcus Chong as the title character. Wilkerson says he has been a fan of Chong’s work since his starring role as Huey P. Newton in Mario Van Pebbles’ cult hit ‘Panther’, as well as the his role as ‘Tank’ in the first, and most loved, Matrix movie.
Pre-Production on the movie is already under way, and shooting is scheduled to begin this summer.
Guaranteed to be a film festival favorite, this is a movie that will explore the legend of CHUCHE, who was the inspiration behind some of the greatest Music, Comedy and Art to ever be introduced to the contemporary world. He inspired many great minds like Andy Warhol, Richard Pryor, Bob Marley, Sydney Poitier, Elvis Presley, Smokey Robinson and many more influential artists.
The biggest problem for CHUCHE is that no one has ever really heard of him until 20 years later when in 1985 the Warhol films of Chuche were discovered. Considered by many to be among Warhol’s best work found to date, these secret movies are of Chuche inspiring some of the most artistic moments in history. This finally gives the credit to Chuche which he so rightfully deserved. But until these films are found everyone he comes across thinks he is full of shit, except of course for the people he inspires, which almost drives Chuche over the edge.
